The general elections have yet to be called but Pakatan Rakyat (PR) parties are already swaggering like winners.

Witness their open spats in Johor and Sabah over seats, haggling like
they own the seats and are a shoo-in for parliament or state
assemblies.
Who died and made them victors? Why are they so confident when five years ago, they couldn’t even put up a decent slate of candidates?
It appears they’re counting the chickens before they are hatched. This seems to be genesis of the problem in Johor and Sabah.
It is obvious that in both these states, personal glory and position seems to trump needs of voters.
Can PR parties take a reality check? In GE12, they won a lot of seats with slim majorities because the voters wanted to punish Barisan Nasional (BN).
No one expected the scale of victory in 2008. Of course, it has boosted their ego but they must know BN is out to avenge that defeat and win back their two-thirds majority in parliament and all states lost then.
The best thing to do is to ensure the best candidate gets to stand and all parties work together for victory.
Bickering for seats is inelegant and does not respect the voter, who decides the winner.
Don’t forget you offer to serve. Voters are not beholden to support you at all. We want change, we just don’t want chump change forced on us.
