Just imagine in a democratic country where 51% of the
voters who voted the opposition are prevented from obtaining the
opposition's newspapers.

The evidence is found in a local English daily dated May 22, 2013 in an article with the title ‘DAP squandering support of Chinese’ which reported thus:
“The DAP is squandering the overwhelming support of the Chinese community that the party gained in the recently-concluded 13th general election by using it as a platform to unseat the Barisan Nasional (BN) government, said Dr Chua Soi Lek. “Instead, their support for the DAP was only used as a platform by the opposition pact to continue its campaign to topple the government which was rightfully elected by the people”.’
Chua must realise that MCA should focus on revamping itself instead of attacking DAP as MCA had suffered a serious setback in the hustings.
But then, not only is MCA but BN parties’ leaders as well as the BN federal government leaders are using the mainstream papers to incessantly attack Pakatan Rakyat (PR).
This attack is non-stop and it started right after the 2008 general election until the present day. The mainstream papers have been used as a weapon to undermine the leadership of Pakatan in the PR-helmed states and to portray all the PR leaders in bad light.
In fact there is no reason at all for BN to whack PR now as BN has already won the 13th general election.
Although PR will be filing election petitions in June for 27 parliamentary seats to challenge the polls results, it is very, very difficult to win the petitions.
