After the pledge by Pahang Menteri Besar Adnan Yaakob to cut off
his ear if DAP wins in Bentong at the coming general election, another
member of the human anatomy took centre stage in the MCA-held
constituency last night.
Only this time, it was the cause of a brief melee when MCA supporters swarmed several DAP leaders doing their walkabout in Bentong, set to be one of the most hotly contested parliamentary seats between DAP and MCA.
The DAP walkabout in Kampung Manchis, which included Pahang DAP chairman Leong Ngah Ngah and Anthony Loke, the DAP Youth chief, was briefly halted when several MCA activists confronted them to demand Loke's explanation over issues in Rasah, Negeri Sembilan, where he is the member of parliament.
Trouble started when a MCA member got physical by pulling Leong's shirt, sparking reactions from other DAP members.
Queried later by news portal Malaysiakini, Kampung Manchis village head and MCA supporter Lee Ah Kaw said he was angry over a DAP speaker's remark during a recent ceramah there to auction off penises of the Chinese-only party's 15 MPs after placing them in a glass.
"BN has been in power for decades and has never threatened to auction off (penises).
"This is what I wanted to tell Leong. I wanted his response to this," Ah Kaw was quoted by the portal as saying.
